We believe that all designs should be sustainable and energy efficient. Our work is grounded in passive design principles which allows for managing heat gain and heat loss which aligns with our environmentally friendly ethos.

INNOVATIVE.

We focus on designing innovative architecture by exploring new forms, pushing the boundaries and evolving with technology without compromising on the functionality of the spaces.  

 

CONTEXTUAL

We create buildings that respond positively to their greater surroundings. When dealing with the micro scale of our buildings we strive to create a seamless transition between the interior to exterior.

 

RESIDENTIAL

ARCH3D’s aim is to deliver excellence in design by collaborating with our client’s vison and budget.  We are aware of the significant financial outlay that our clients will incur when embarking on their dream home.

Our understanding of design trends, extensive knowledge of building technology and on-site experience has ensured great success on our residential projects.

DEVELOPMENTS

ARCH3D works closely with each developer / client to obtain a clear understanding and vision of their requirements. With successful collaboration and knowledge of market trends we have ensured great success in all our developments.

EDUCATIONAL

We believe in the power of great design to enhance the educational experience for the children and staff that utilize these buildings. We take great care in working closely with the teachers, children & educational specialists of these institutions, in order, to meet the needs and ethos of each school

COMMERCIAL

ARCH3D delivers innovative design solutions aimed at maximizing the clients marketing value and brand. We take great care in designing spaces that can work functionally and efficiently but still maintaining a strong visual element to the design which aligns with the brand image of our clients. 

Our commercial work focuses on boutique commercial projects.

DAVID HOLLIS

Founder and managing director of Arch3D Studios (Pty) Ltd. David obtained his Masters of Architecture at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, Port Elizabeth. He has a passion for creating sustainable, innovative, contextual designs and thrives on the conceptual challenges that each project brings to the studio. He understands the value of maintaining a clear and free communication channel between the client, architect and builder throughout each project. Is a registered member of SACAP, GIFA, SAIS and Green Building Council of South Africa. ​

THE STUDIO.​

The studio is supported by architects and technologists who play a vital role in maintaining the high standard of work that we set and meeting the necessary deadlines.

In addition, we share collaborative relationships with several leading professionals including quantity surveyors, engineers, developers and construction companies to keep up with the latest trends in our industry.
